WP holders can get married with PRs or SCs in Singapore. However, the prerequisite is to inform the MOM and obtain their approval. Regardless of whether the permit is within its validity period, has expired, or has been cancelled, it must be approved by the MOM.

Prepared Documents

Citizen/PR: ID card, salary statements from the past six months, housing provident fund statements from the past three months, highest education certificate, and identification required if changing name

WP holder: work permit/passport, salary statements from the past six months, highest education certificate, and identification required if changing name

Complete the Marriage Declaration Form

The two of them need to complete the marriage declaration form on the MOM website.

Additional Materials to be Prepared

1) If two people get married abroad, relevant certificates need to be presented

2) If married to someone else abroad, relevant proof needs to be presented

3) If you have divorced, you need to provide relevant proof

4) If the ex-wife or ex husband has passed away, relevant proof needs to be presented

5) If pregnant, a doctor's certificate is required

6) If you already have a child, you need to present their birth certificate

Submit an Application

The final step is to submit the application. After submitting the application, the MOM usually responds within 4 weeks.

Remember! If W holders get married without applying, their permits may be cancelled and they may be expelled from Singapore.

Also, be careful! All documents that need to be submitted must be in English version. If not, translation is required.
