Age Requirement

Children aged between three and six could enjoy quality education in kindergartens, childcare centers and international schools.

Language of Instruction

Most kindergartens offer a three-year systematic education program. With the exception of the International School, all Kindergartens are taught bilingually, English and mother tongue.

Admission Fee

About 1000-1200 SGD/month.

Commencement

Students can apply for admission at any time on January 2 each year. International students can apply for Kindergarten admission at any time (if places are available).

Holiday

There are 2 long and 2 short holidays each year. The schedule is as follows:
Mid March: 1 week

June: 4 weeks

Mid-September: 1 week

November to December: 6 weeks

Dependant Pass For Accompanying Young Child

As the government allows their mothers/grandmothers to apply for Dependent Pass to stay in Singapore, Singapore kindergartens are suitable for young children who do not live independently. Other than that, the mothers/grandmothers are allowed to apply for full-time or part-time jobs in the second year to reduce their financial burden.
