Three Main Paths for WP to Apply for SG PR

In Singapore, WP cannot apply for PR alone, as we all know. But what if the current holder of WP permit wants to apply for PR in the future? Is there any way to achieve it? Yes, there are three directions.

1. As a Subsidiary Application

WP permit holders cannot apply for PR alone, but if their spouse is SC/PR/EP/SP, they can be guaranteed to apply.

2. Upgrade Education and Change to Other Work Pass

In addition to WP, almost all other work permits in Singapore have educational requirements (at least junior college, or undergraduate or above), such as SP and EP. SP and EP can apply for PR directly, so if WP wants to apply for PR, he can improve his academic level through learning.

3. Apply for the EntrePass

For the EnterePass, there is no requirement for educational background, and the WP permit holder can apply for the EntrePass first without being restricted by educational background. After the EntrePass is successfully approved, the company can be operated and can apply for PR 12-24 months later.
