What Documents Cannot be Applied for Apostille?
2025-01-08

Singapore's documents, which need to be returned to China for use, have already cancelled consular authentication. You only need to go to the Singapore Academy of Law to handle the additional certificate (i.e. Apostille) for official documents issued in Singapore.

Types of Documents

01 Government documents: Official documents issued by Singapore government departments (such as marriage certificates, birth certificates, court documents, notaries, etc.) can be directly applied for Apostille from the Singapore Academy of Law.

02 Private documents: Private documents issued in Singapore (such as declarations, power of attorney, etc.) need to be notarized by Notary Public in Singapore before applying for Apostille from the Singapore Academy of Law.
